A real product company, based in Tirana.

We are not an agency, not a consultancy, and not a venture-funded growth-at-all-costs experiment. HotelBee is a profitable, founder-led product company building software that hotels actually pay for and keep using. That changes everything about the kind of work you do here, fewer pitch decks, more shipped code; fewer "growth hacks", more real customer conversations.

    Every product decision starts with a real conversation with a real hotelier. No personas, no abstractions, no "the user".

  • Boringly reliable

    Hotels run on our software 24/7. We optimise for predictable, calm software, never for clever or trendy.

  • Craft over quantity

    We ship slowly and carefully, and we will throw away a feature rather than ship a half-done one. Every detail is on purpose.

  • Small team, big trust

    You will own real surface area from day one. No layers, no committees. If you need to talk to the founder, they sit two desks away.

  • Remote-friendly, Tirana-based

    Most of the team is in Tirana, but we hire across Europe. Office attendance is voluntary, async-first communication is the default.

  • Real days off

    28 days of paid leave + local holidays + the week between Christmas and New Year, fully closed. We do not glorify burnout.

    €1,500/year per person for books, courses, conferences, equipment, anything that makes you better at your craft.

We are deliberately small. Cross-functional pairs ship the actual work, these are just where people park their desks.

  • Engineering

    14 people

    Backend, frontend, mobile, infra. We use TypeScript, Node, Postgres, Next.js, React Native, AWS. We ship daily, write tests, and stay on call for our own code.

  • Design & Product

    6 people

    Product, UX, brand, and content. We design slowly, prototype in code, and run weekly user sessions with real hoteliers.

  • Customer Success

    10 people

    Onboarding, support, training and migration. The most important team in the company, they decide whether HotelBee feels good or bad to use.

  • Go-to-market

    8 people

    Sales, partnerships, marketing. A small team that wins by being honest and useful, not by running funnels and cold-call campaigns.

Our hiring process

Four steps. No surprises.

We respect your time. Every stage has a clear purpose, a clear timeline, and a clear next step, written down.

  1. 01

    Intro call (30 min)

    A two-way conversation, what you are looking for, what we are building. No technical questions. Decided within three days.

  2. 02

    Take-home or working session (90 min)

    A scoped problem from the actual job. We pay for take-home work, we will not ask you to spend a weekend for free.

  3. 03

    Team interviews (3 × 45 min)

    Three structured conversations with people you would work with. We share the questions in advance, no surprise riddles.

  4. 04

    Offer & references

    A written offer within 48 hours of the final round. We will ask for two references, and we are happy to provide ours.

I joined HotelBee from a much larger company because I wanted to actually finish things. Two years in, I have shipped more meaningful features than in the previous five years combined, and the team genuinely talks to customers every week. It changed how I think about software.

  • Both. The headquarters and roughly 60% of the team are in Tirana, but we have full-time teammates in Berlin, Lisbon, Milan, Pristina, Belgrade and Athens. For most engineering, design and customer-success roles we hire anywhere in the CET ±2 time-zone band. Sales and partnerships often have a region requirement (e.g. DACH or Mediterranean). Every job listing says clearly whether the role is remote, hybrid or on-site.
